Three Americans Trained in Florence
Coming March 24th, this special exhibit of portrait paintings and drawings will impress all fans of realism. Classical Portraiture: Three Americans Trained in Florence at the Art Museum of Los Gatos, 4 Tait Avenue at W. Main Street. The exhibition opens March 24 and runs through April 22. Museum hours are 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
Come meet the artists on Sunday, March 27 at the public reception 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
John Peck, Andrew Ameral, and Aaron Pavelis all met in Florence, Italy when they studied at the prestigious Florence Academy of Art. Each brings their own sense of capturing the human face based on intense study of light, form, traditional paint materials and the human body.
